Dr. Michael Israel

Dr. Michael Israel is an accomplished periodontist that has been in private practice since 1978. He received his Post-Graduate certification from New York University College of Dentistry, Department of Periodontics, his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University and his Bachelor of Science from City College of New York.

His state of the art practice is focused on the treatment of complex Periodontal Disease ranging from Reconstructive Periodontal Plastic Surgery and Osseous Bone Graft Regeneration to the placement of Dental Implants. As a leader in the use of Lasers in Periodontal Surgery, he has published numerous articles and has lectured nationally and internationally on the use of Lasers in Periodontics.

Dr. Israel has held positions as Associate Professor at New York University College of Dentistry, Post-Graduate Periodontics, Chairman of the Department of Dentistry and The Director of the General Practice Residency Program at Waterbury Hospital Health Center. He is presently an attending at Waterbury and St. Mary’s Hospitals.

His personal devotion to his profession has made his practice a high standard of excellence. He is committed to the outstanding treatment for his patients and his affiliated doctors. He has been voted five consecutive times as Connecticut Magazine’s Top Periodontist.

Dr. Israel holds active memberships in numerous professional organizations. He is a member of The American Academy of Periodontology, Connecticut Society of Periodontists, The American Dental Association and The Connecticut Dental Association. He is also a member of The Litchfield County and Waterbury Dental Societies, and the former president of The Dental Society of Greater Waterbury.

He has three wonderful children and enjoys boating, golfing and traveling in his spare time.

Dr. Jorge Baujin

Dr. Jorge Baujin joined the practice in 1992. He is a graduate of the New Jersey School of Medicine and Dentistry. He is a member of the Litchfield Dental Society, The Connecticut State Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. He has served as president of The Litchfield Dental Society multiple times, and is currently the Peer Review Chairman. He has been a volunteer dentist for The Brooker Memorial Children Dental Clinic, and has served on its Dental Steering Board. Dr. Baujin enjoys practicing all aspects of dentistry in our Torrington and New Hartford Offices.

Dr. Baujin lives in Torrington with his wife and two children. He is an Assistant Scout Master of Troop 3. He is active in community affairs and enjoys camping, canoeing and gardening.

Dr. Luciano Marini

Dr. Luciano Marini is dedicated to earning your trust as your dentist. He believes in spending time with patients, listening to your goals and concerns, so that he understands what you want and gives you the attention you deserve from your dentist. He refrains from the use of fast-talking advertising or “gimmickry,” preferring instead that the actions of himself and his practice demonstrate his commitment to patient care. It is his privilege to treat your dental needs.

Born and raised in Waterbury, Connecticut, Dr. Luciano Marini learned the value of hard work and quality at an early age. As a first generation American, Dr. Marini’s family emigrated from Italy and settled in Waterbury. He attended local schools and received his bachelors degree from the University of Connecticut in 1981. Dr. Marini subsequently attained his dental degree at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. Upon the completion of his residency training at Waterbury Hospital Health Center in 1986, he opened his general dental practice, providing all phases of dental care — from cosmetic dentistry to preventative dental care.

In 1994, Dr. Marini relocated his practice to its current location in order to accommodate the growth of the practice and to provide dental care in a more modern facility. Dr. Marini has dedicated numerous hours to both patient care and postgraduate continuing education in all phases of dentistry in his efforts to achieve a level of quality unmatched by other dental practices and to strive toward attaining 100% patient satisfaction. He is a member of numerous national and local dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Connecticut Dental Association and the Waterbury Dental Society.

Dr. Ann Mancini

Dr. Ann Mancini has recently joined our practice. As a lifelong resident of Watertown, Dr. Mancini attended local schools and received her doctorate degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. She is committed to providing comprehensive dentistry for all ages providing the highest standard of dental care and utilizing the latest techniques and materials.

She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Connecticut State Dental Association and the Waterbury Dental Society. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband, Justin, and her friends.

Dr. Lisa Veiga

Dr. Lisa S. Veiga graduated from Vasser College and then went on to attend The University of Connecticut to earn her DMD. Dr Veiga was then a resident at Waterbury Hospital before going into private general practice in Waterbury. She is a strong beliver that “estabilishing long lasting relationships with patients based upon mutual trust and open communications.”

Dr. Veiga is an active member of the following organizations:

• American Dental Association (ADA)
• Connecticut State Dental Association
• Dental Society of Greater Waterbury
• Federation Dentaire Internationale

Dr. Veiga is also an active member of many community organizations that benefit Waterbury.

Dr. Robert Rung

In 1979 Dr. Robert Rung graduated from Holy Cross High School in Waterbury, Connecticut. Dr. Rung is a 1983 graduate from Boston College and a 1987 graduate from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. After graduation from Dental School, Dr. Rung completed a residency program with the US Air Force in Washington, DC. Dr. Rung served in the armed forces for five years as a general dentist, in Washington, DC, Aviano, Italy, and Goldsboro, North Carolina. After serving in the Air Force, Dr. Rung returned home to Connecticut to provide private practice dental services to the Greater Waterbury area. Since 1997, Dr. Rung has maintained a private practice at 229 Highland Avenue in Waterbury.

Dr. Henry Danziger

Dr. Henry Danziger has been a practicing dentistry for over 25 years. He has served the Naugatuck valley community for over 20 years and continues to service patients dental needs today. Dr. Danziger graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts, he then in 1975 graduated with a Master of Science degree from the University of Connecticut and continued his medical and dental training at New York University where he was president of his class and graduated with a Doctrine and with honors in 1978.

Dr. Danziger continues to put a personal emphasis on his professional knowledge as he annually attends seminars that allow him to combine his many years of experience and knowledge with the latest dental techniques and medical technology.

Dr. Carlos Braverman

Dr. Carlos Braverman graduated from Marquette University in 1999. He completed his General Practice Residency in 2000 at Veteran Affairs Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He joined the practice in 2006 after previously working in Hartford for seven years. He enjoys working with adults and children of all ages, covering most facets of general dentistry at both our Torrington and New Hartford Offices.

Dr. Braverman lives with his wife and two children in Simsbury. He enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, playing squash and spending time with his family.
