About TeethXpress Dental Implants Kingfisher, OK

Missing teeth can cause serious health concerns, rob you of confidence and interrupt normal activity due to pain and discomfort. While modern replacement teeth can supply the needed support to return to normal, dentures and crowns are often uncomfortable and hard to work with. Dental implants provide a permanently anchored, nearly undetectable replacement that can replace a single tooth or provide an anchor for dental prosthetics, such as bridges and dentures.

Dr. Benjamin Bowman

Dr. Benjamin Bowman, sometimes known as “the Singing Dentist” or on You Tube as the “Rapping Dentist,” is just one side of his personality you will experience when you visit our office. He absolutely loves Kingfisher and the wonderful community here that he has grown to love. Growing up in Deer Creek; Kingfisher, Watonga and Hennessey were always rivaling competitors in sports. Lettering in football, wrestling, soccer, and tennis, he saw first hand the small town community support that these towns exemplified. He admired that greatly, which made his decision to come to this community an easy one. He is proud to make his professional home in Kingfisher, and being a part of this community has been an experience that has far exceeded his imagination.

Dr. Bowman speaks fluent Spanish, which he learned after high school graduation when he left the country for two years to serve for his church in South America. “I was truly humbled by the circumstances and fell in love with the people as I learned Christlike service.” His experience in South America further solidified his desire to be in the service/health industry.

As a child, he would make rounds at the hospital with his grandad where he saw first hand how much he loved his patients and how much his patients loved him. “I decided as a young boy I wanted to be a doctor, just like my grandad.”

He attended the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry where he received honors including Deans Honor Roll and special recognition for his skills and knowledge in implants, oral surgery, and cosmetic dentistry. After graduating college, he spent five months in Arkansas furthering his knowledge and skill in implants, wisdom teeth extractions, aesthetics/cosmetics, TMJ treatment, and full mouth rehabilitation.

It was fate that brought him to Kingfisher as an unexpected trip home from Texas brought the thought to mind that he needed to make a change in his life for his family to move back home to be able to raise his children close to their grandparents. Although Dr. Bowman got to spend a little time with his grandad, he did not get to grow up around him. His family needed the experience that he was unable to enjoy. On this particular trip home, an opportunity presented itself to partner in Kingfisher with the Custom Dental Group. He jumped at the chance and is happy to say that four years later he was given the opportunity to purchase the rest of the practice and make it his own. “Because we love this community so much, we will be here for a long time.”

“It is my desire that my patients can come to a place where they feel comfortable, feel like they are part of our family, and have the best care.” It is our mission to provide a full service dental practice which includes oral surgery, implants, endodontics (root canals), braces, and general dentistry. Time is a valuable asset to everyone. It is something that cannot be created and cannot be given back. Therefore, when our patients come to us, we want to provide a one stop dental practice where our patients will not have to be sent out of town to have procedures done then back to our office to finish them. Because of Dr. Bowman’s passion for learning and advancing his skills, we are able to do all these services. “I feel honored to be a part of this profession, but mostly, I am honored to be a part of this extraordinary community, and I look forward to being your dentist.”

Dr. Topher Barnett

Dr. Barnett comes to us from a small town in Utah. He graduated high school from Richfield, Utah, a town of about 7,500 people. He has always loved the feel and romance of rural communities. His wife, Carma, is also from Richfield, and they became best friends during track and cross country meets in high school. They have been married for ten years, have five great kids, and are so grateful and excited to become involved in what Kingfisher and the surrounding areas have to offer.

Dr. Barnett completed his dental education at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry, after which he went on to receive additional education as a resident for one year at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he obtained advanced training in crown and bridge restorations, implants, periodontal surgery, oral surgery, endodontic root canal therapy, as well as denture fabrication and orthodontics.  Finally, he became the Assistant Director of the Dental Clinic at OU Childrens Physicians Hospital before happily accepting the offer to become a partner at  Kingfisher Dentistry & Braces. Dr. Barnett has taken extensive Continueing Education courses in pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, invisalign, and implants to be able to provide everything he can for his patients. As you can tell from his previous job and big family, he loves kids and is anxious to get to know the many families of the area by treating both kids and families in the community.

Dr. Barnett speaks spanish fluently, which he learned while serving on a two year mission for his church in Venezuela. While this was one of the most difficult things he has ever done, he attributes the time spent there as the primary factor in shaping him into an effective human being.

Both Dr. Barnett and Carma will tell you that the decision to begin working in Kingfisher was an answer to prayer, and he feels blessed for the opportunity to serve the people of the community. While they miss their families back in Utah, they know that the people of Kingfisher County and Oklahoma have been and will be a family that makes them Oklahoma Strong.

Smile With Confidence

I smile more often now because it feels natural. Being treated with dental implants is probably as close to natural teeth as I can get.
