Dr. Dave Magusiak

Dr. Dave Magusiak received a B.A. degree in chemistry in 1980 from the University of Mississippi. He then went on to receive a doctor of dental medicine degree from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in 1984.

Dr. Magusiak joined the United States Air Force in 1984 and served as a captain in the dental corps while stationed at Howard Air Force Base in Panama City, Panama. While stationed in Panama, he had the privilege to go on numerous med ready exercises that helped the indigenous people of Panama. He also received yearly medical training at Gorgas Army Hospital where he was trained to assist in surgery.

Dr. Magusiak and his wife Sarah have lived in Griffin since 1987. Dr. Magusiak was initially in solo practice, but formed the partnership of Magusiak and Morgan, LLP in 1998 with Dr. Jody Morgan. The practice grew again in 2012 when Dr. Chastity Brown joined the practice and it was renamed Magusiak, Morgan & Brown, LLP.

Dr. Magusiak strives to provide the latest and best that modern dentistry has to offer by committing himself to a future of continuing education and making sure that the office is equipped with the latest technology. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association and is active in the Central District Dental Association of Georgia.

Dr. Magusiak has been married to Sarah Chambliss Magusiak since 1984 and they have two grown children, Ben and Taylor. Dr. Magusiak is an active member of Griffin First United Methodist Church, and is past chairman of the missions committee. Dave and Sarah have gone on numerous mission trips to Central America and have participated also in a variety of local mission projects. When not in the office, Dr. Magusiak enjoys spending time at the lake, reading, wakeboarding and cooking.

Dr. Janet Hiers

Dr. Janet Hiers graduated from the Medical College of Georgia with her certificate in periodontics as well as concurrently receiving a masters in oral biology. Dr. Hiers is a diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology and has her certification in IV conscious sedation. Dr. Hiers won 1st place with her research “Evaluation of Nano-Technology Surface Modified Zirconium Oral Implants in a Rabbit Model of Trabecular Bone”, in the Billy M. Pennel Graduate Student Research Award Competition. This competition includes most southern states. Dr. Hiers is a member of the American Academy of Periodontics, Southern Academy of Periodontists, Georgia Society of Periodontist in which she is currently serving as president, the Academy of Osseointegration, American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Hiers serves as part-time faculty in the Department of Periodontics at Georgia Regents University working exclusively with the periodontal residents at the VA hospital in Augusta, GA. Dr. Hiers has over 25 years of experience in dentistry.

Dr. Jody Morgan

Dr. Jody Morgan completed his undergraduate work in 1993 at the University of Georgia in Athens, and from there attended the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in Augusta, where he received his DMD degree in 1997. Dr. Morgan moved to Griffin in 1997 as an associate dentist with Dr. Magusiak, and they formed the partnership of Magusiak and Morgan in 1998.

Dr. Morgan is committed to learning all aspects of dentistry including new advances in dentistry such as dental implants, sedation dentistry, and advanced cosmetic procedures such as veneers. He recently completed the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation Course and has implemented it into his private practice. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, and the American Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Morgan has been married to Jennie Studle Morgan since 2000, and they have four children, Jackson, Jenna, Joshua and Jessi Kate. Dr. Morgan is active as a deacon in Crestview Baptist Church and enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Dr. Chastity Brown

Dr. Chastity Brown, of Jackson, Georgia, graduated summa cum laude from North Georgia College and State University in 2004 with a degree in biology. After completing her undergraduate program, she attended the Medical College of Georgia’s School of Dentistry. Dr. Brown received her DMD degree in 2008.

Dr. Brown practices family and cosmetic dentistry. She is a member of The American Dental Association, The Georgia Dental Association and The Georgia Central District Society.

Dr. Brown has been married to Joey Brown, also of Jackson, since 2004. They have one daughter and one son. Dr. Brown enjoys reading, traveling, gardening, cooking, playing with her dog and spending time with her family and friends.
