Dr. Ali Mehraban

Dr. Ali Mehraban received his dental degree from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine, in 1993. Dr. Mehraban’s practice focuses on comprehensive reconstruction, implants, cosmetics and sedation dentistry. Upon completion of his dental degree, he sought more advanced training in general dentistry as a GPR (General Practice Resident) at Genesee Hospital, School of Medicine and Dentistry, at the University of Rochester, New York.

In addition to his GPR, Dr. Mehraban completed a three-year residency specializing in implantology and periodontics at the Eastman Dental Center, School of Medicine and Dentistry, at the University of Rochester, a pioneering center in clinical research.

Dr. Mehraban’s commitment to continuing education has led him to participate in advanced courses in his field. This approach helps him to bring the latest, most advanced techniques and technology to his patients. Dr. Mehraban is the past founder and director of Johns Creek Seminars, a study club that provided a variety of seminars and advances in the field of dentistry to local dentists and their professional teams.

Dr. James Harris

Dr. Jim Harris obtained a degree in biology from Georgia State University before continuing his studies in dentistry at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. Although born in Philadelphia, he has resided most of his life in Georgia. Graduating in 1981, he spent four years in the US Army Dental Corps, fulfilling his health professions scholarship obligations. The first three years were spent in Bremerhaven Germany, where his first daughter, Jessica was born.

Working with Byrd Dental Group since 2013, both in Towne Lake and Northpoint, Dr. Harris brings vast experience with a gentle, caring touch to our practice. He has completed over 3,000 hours of continuing education throughout his career. Dr. Harris focuses on an array of procedures, from cosmetic dentistry and temporomandibular joint disorders to orthodontics and dental implants. He is currently involved in a course curriculum with the Kois Institute of Seattle. This is a comprehensive curriculum of over 250 hours, focusing on total care for each and every patient, including the most challenging restorative cases.

Dr. Harris has two daughters. He and his wife, Vicky, enjoy tennis, cooking, finding great new restaurants, traveling and taking their dog, Enzo, for long walks.
