Dr. Richard Casteen

Dr. Richard Casteen uses more than 28 years of surgical and prosthetic experience to rebuild mouths and is a Board Certified Implantologist through the American Board of Implantology (ABOI). He and his staff strive to create a cheerful environment, providing complete support throughout the treatment process.

Dr. Casteen works with anesthesiologists and uses in-house dental technicians to create final restorations and prosthetics.

Whether it is to replace a single tooth, develop a new smile, or remove remaining teeth and start over, patients are evaluated with experience and the latest diagnostic technology available, including CT scan imaging.

Typical patients suffer from trauma, bone deficiencies, failed root canals, bulimia, xerostomia, drug addiction, and occlusal disease.  No matter what the condition presents, patients can be assured that all treatment options will be discussed prior to initiating care, as well as discussion of risks and benefits.

Dr. Casteen works principally out of Bakersfield and lives locally in Santa Ynez Valley.
