Dr. Chukwuka Okafor

Dr. Okafor is an Atlanta native by the way of Nigeria who is excited to be a part of the Lawrenceville/Gwinnett County, GA community. He attended Georgia Southern University and graduated with a bachelors of science degree in Biology. After briefly teaching in the Atlanta school area, he started his dental studies at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry where he was awarded a degree in Dental Medicine.

Following dental school, Dr. Okafor completed a residency in general dentistry at BronxCare Dr. Martin Luther king, Jr. Health Center. This residency provided Dr. Okafor with extensive training in surgical and implant dentistry and the management of medically complex patients.

Dr. Okafor has dedicated a substantial amount of time in the area implantology oral rehabilitation training. Dr. Okafor spent completed the Comprehensive Implant Residency Program (CIRP) in Bessemer, Alabama. Dr. Okafor became a recipient of a Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists in 2021. Recently Dr. Okafor has spent much of his free time working to incorporate the newest dental technology into Zona Dental’s daily routine.

He is extremely committed to continuing education with a focus on Invisalign/Clear Aligners, implant, aesthetic and comprehensive dentistry

Dr. Okafor is also an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, National Dental Association, and  the Georgia Dental Association.

Dr. Okafor has been recognized by his alma mater Georgia Southern University’s 40 under 40 Award.

Dr. Okafor lives in Atlanta with his wife Dr. Vandra Okafor, who is a local Pediatric ENT Surgeon. In his free time he loves to travel, tennis, fashion, and, and spending time with friends and family.
