Dr. Jordan Bender
Dr. Jordan Bender is a board-certified periodontist with a special interest in periodontal plastic surgery and implant surgery. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Toronto in 2001, with the highest overall achievement in the third and fourth years of his program. Prior to dental school, he completed an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of Western Ontario and earned a gold medal for having the highest grades in the faculty. After dental school, Dr. Bender completed a residency program at Mt. Sinai Hospital and received his specialty training and a Masters of Science in Periodontology from the University of Toronto. Dr. Bender is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a former staff Periodontist at Mt. Sinai Hospital. He is an active member of the Ontario Society of Periodontics, the American Academy of Periodontology, the International Team for Implantology, and the Ontario Dental Association. On a part-time basis, Dr. Bender acts as a clinical instructor and lecturer at the University of Toronto for the Department of Periodontics, and regularly lectures for several study clubs and continuing education events. In his spare time, Dr. Bender enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He is a competitive swimmer and a member of the Aurora Master Ducks Swim Club.
